Mastering

With my most recent upgrades in monitoring and acoustics i'm now able to offer Mastering services alongside my mixing and re Mixing services.

Ultimatley the masterining process is the final stage in ensuring the Audio is Balanced, and relates to all the available formats available. We have to ensure that when you listen to the music as a Fan 'we were never there'.

If you have songs that you have mix'd that you now want independantly Mastered to be release ready, wether it be for Streaming services, Vynil or even CD there are a few things to be considered to allow the Mastering process to go smoothly.

In particular you need to ensure you dont over EQ, keep it balanced, Dont over compress as this will rob your music of its life by loosing dynamics.

If you are looking to have a selections of songs mastered into an EP or Album its important to know your song sequence and timings.

Always make sure you are working in the highest resolution you can, i.e. 441.kHz, 48kHz etc

When comparing songs that have been mastered Loudness might be the most prominent indicator that the track has been mastered, but consider other elements that your ear is hearing. Are some instruments brighter? Do the levels sound more polished? Does the music feel more cohesive? these are all things to consider when mastering a song.
